          ... to walk so water taxi it was. No one around to buy a ticket, we had to go six stops, got off and not one person asked for money or our ticket..euros...none, bet that won't happen again.

          Dinner tonight was the Hard Rock Cafe, the meal was delicious, there we were sitting there with rock music and videos blaring all around us and you look out the window at canals and gondolas, loving it.

We didn't do much of the traditional tourist activities, but we did manage to get lost, wander into a beautiful church, eat fresh seafood, take a ride down the Grand Canal on the poor man's gondola (ie Vaporetto, or public transportation water bus), see a fairy-tale bookstore, drink yummy prosecco, and sit in a square at night and enjoy peace and quiet in the middle of an island full of tourists. ...

          After the emergency drill which lasted very very short.... we didn't even need to try on the life jacket... then the Sail Away Party started....
