... ended we walked through Rialto markets on the other side as it wasn't as busy and great to have a wander. Interesting stalls/shops. Found yum gelato places and of course sampled! I have to say it's over nine years since I've drunk coffee (thanks to the Golden Door) but they sure do a mean Expresso gelato here - thinking of you Mum!

We arrived in Venice mid afternoon with no accommodation booked. Clint said as we are 9 mins away from Venice ' I need to stop and get Wifi so I can organise some where to stay'.
My response 'I think you are going too early, you don't want to be seen to be pre planning. 2 mins before arrival will be plenty of time!'

It's going to be a bit of a shock to the system, given it's forecast for a high of 9 degrees - not what we've got used to (although only 13 here in Venice today). So goodbye to Murano, off in the water taxi and back to the airport. Venice is NOT CHEAP. Not at all, the transportation costs are something else.
