    ... for a beach on the other side of the island. When I got there I saw a big rock like an island and I relaxed on it. The water was crystal clear and there were lots of deck chairs on the beach. Mum and Dad watched us from a rocky balcony over hanging the water.

    When we got back to Sorrento for the night Will and I played on the beach and Mum and Dad had a drink with Michelle and Allan.

    ... on that we did not hike to. Sorrento is on the north side of the Amalfi Coast and it faces the Bay of Naples. At one spot on the bus ride we could look north across the bay and see the huge city of Naples, look straight in front of us at Sorrento and south to Positano. Three times beautiful. Sorrento was also dressed in its Sunday best. Its street, Corso Italia, closed to traffic, was packed with people which fanned out from Piazza Tasso. Very pretty city. We just walked, ...

    ... speed, brake suddenly, repeat, hit every pothole, too numerous to keep count, beep horn constantly, curse in Italian and wave BOTH hands in air whilst still driving, miss other cars by millimetres, pray the whole time for a safe journey!!
