... been doing just that for centuries. I thought I'd go for a 'Dunkel' today, a darker ale, and very tasty it was too, but Anita had only ordered me a .3 litre which was even smaller than the 'ladysize' I'd had in Munich... when I realised it was 12.8% strength, I appreciated her choice! They had a bock at 16.9%, which I decided was definitely best avoided...

... eventually. The tour of the castle takes us round the State rooms and Ludwig's private rooms. The decor is based as a copy of Versailles lots of marble, gilt and gold. There is a bedroom that is a copy of Louis' room where he held levees and couchees and was an important meeting place for the court. I order what I understand to be half a litre of white wine for us to share which then arrives in one half litre beer mug! Apparently it is half wine, half water. If you get a chance to try this don't bother! Excellent dinner of barbecued spare ribs and chips and some more wine without water. How healthy is ...
