        ... worse, especially in Guatemala and Nicaragua. Typical in Latin America most houses are only partially finished. Many do not have glass windows, just metal or wooden shutters. Roofs are corrugated metal. Yards are open soil and an eroded mess. I can’t imagine what they use for sanitation. There is little work, as evidenced by men hanging around with nothing to do.         ... we had WIFI, i was SOOO happy...
        i uploaded pictures, call my parents and texted Austin ( I was missing him like crazy)

        The pastor was nice enough to give us mangos and i was in heaven, his wive made food for us and it was delicious i even did my happy dance (if you know me, you know i dance when I'm about to eat something delicious)

        PS. Now it was time to go back to the cruise aka living the high life

        ... important here because it is with family, and Christmas Day is to party. Their Christmas is either rainny or sunny. My 1st Christmas away from home with no snow. New Year's volunteers head to Cabarete (tourist beach town in the north) to hang out and celebrate on the beach.

        ... might as well be jumps!) and too many pot holes and dirt sections of road to count. However, when we finally descended into the valley and the town, it was clear that it was well worth the drive! Samana is a small town in an inlet off of the Atlantic Ocean, and it is apparently quite a tourist area for cruise ships, which I didn't realize. There is a small island in the bay, which you can pay to go to, and apparently there are beautiful beaches ...
