We spent one week in this cosy and special hotel. We planned every evening with the owner of the hotel where to hike the day after. And every time it was a special experience. We saw a lot of mountain lakes, deers, flowers and the owner one time came with us explaining all about the area: history, geography and bothanic. There are a lot of things to do: clibining, rafting, hiking, MTB tours and mcuh more. ...

... these roads in the big van! I took hundreds of photos of the road and surroundings as well as every time we glimpsed the boys. Sometimes I was handling my camera, Richard's cameras, Annabel's new camera and my iPhone to record this historic event. (For which Richard is very grateful!!) Other than the climb and descent we had a coffee at the small 1/2 way point as we waited for them to get a bit ahead of us. We met them at the top of course and Richard ...

Today was going to be a riding day but due to traffic and the weather we really just travelled. As we passed into Switzerland it was decided that we should eat Swiss chocolate as we went through - it is our international duty. We dutifully bought ...

Activities are numerous throughout the valley of "Val di Sole". Attached is a short list of the activities that interested us and kept us entertained throughout July. We travelled throughout the valley visiting a different village/town each time, including: Stavel, the western end of the valley is a nice 2 hour trek at normal walking pace. Photos 1-8 Trento, we travelled an hour each way just to have ...

We drove from Pula and after an overnight stop in Feltre, continued north in Italy via Lana and through the spectacular Stelvio Pass. No wonder motorcycle company's use this road for the release of their new bikes as it it very technical and very picturesque !!! While enjoying hotdogs at the top of the pass, we met a school teacher from Rosebud ( Victoria ) who recommended a stop in Bormio. What a good call. We stayed in a quaint hotel with two balconies - one ...
