From Lucerne I caught the train to Interlaken where I spent the day before continuing on to Grindelwald. Interlaken is a beautiful city which is surrounded by very blue lakes and rivers running through the city connecting them all. In Interlaken I hiked from the train station to Harder Kulm. It was a breath taking hike with stunning scenery and vantage points which looked over to the Jungfrau mountain ranges whilst walking through the Bleikiwald forest. After hiking up ...

        A snowy day in Lauterbrunnen!

After a restless sleep from coughing (not just for me I'm sure) I was off to Lauterbrunnen. It was only a 20min train ride and again it was stunning! Interlaken is like the gateway of the Jungfrau region and Lauterbrunnen is further into the region. It's actually where you can get the gondola to the top of Europe and Alle did her skydive there. Unfortunately it was snowing and low cloud so there wouldn't be any visibility at the top. I had layered up hard this morning ready ...

This day was pretty pretty much a rest day and travel to me next destination Grindelwald. This town was a lot busier than the others I have been so far. Couldn't be bothered doing anything too exciting so I just walked around the town and used my free pass to the ...

... I love Switzerland! Once we were back we met Tash, Mel, Sarah and Carly at the cafe with AMAZING brownies and used their wifi. After some quiet time with packing, showers an applying as much aloe and moisturiser as possible we had another home cooked meal. This time there was roesti and apple strudel with custard. So yum! After a bit of a gossip session with the girls (Steph k, Tash, Mel, Sarah, Carly, Kym, Ang, Lilah, Eliza and Pappas) we all went to ...

... by accident we sat in 1st class wondering why the train was so empty and quiet until the ticket lady came around telling us we weren't supposed to be there. 10 minutes later we ended up on the stairs by the door because both levels of 2nd class were full. Huge downgrade! Although, the ride went fast and we found our hostel really easily. We booked the 4 mixed bed room, so we had a room to ourselves with 2 armchairs, a coffee table, and sink. It was really nice that we ...
