We have been told not to expect too much of the hotels in Switzerland. The Hotel Baren proved to be an exception to this. It has good sized bed, bath and sitting rooms and a balcony with beautiful views of the mountains behind St. Moritz.

The food was OK but not what I would normally order (Broccoli soup, ham and turkey and fruit salad).

There is no internet in the room but it is available in the lobby.

About 500 m straight of pure full-throttle harley-in-a-tunnel bliss that makes your ears tingle and breaks the smallest kidney stones, provided you have some.

I think Stef just heard a loud motorcycle.

So just to get things straight. .. in spring I had a student who told me all about her amazing cycle trips around europe and how much fun they were. Long story short, she inspired me and jan to try this out ourselves. Because we worked all summer, and summer was hot, we decided that autumn would be the best time to do this trip. As ...

The trip even included climbing over the Gottherd Pass at 2,500 metres Today we topped the 4,000 km mark and our hats go off to our drivers. A job well done. Arrived in St Moritz in drizzling rain and enjoyed our end of tour get-together: dinner, speeches, awards and appreciation gifts. We have another day and evening together before our WA contingent head off to Milan and the rest of us to Munich via St ...
