    It rained all night and we woke to a bright sunny day……….for
    about an hour, during which time we managed to have our breakfast in the sun.

    It rained all night and we woke up to rain as well. We
    decided to take advantage of the weather to move, and so we packed up and
    headed down to Solothurn which is a beautiful old town situated on the Aare
    River. The Aare River is also deep, wide and clean.

    What summer? Since arriving in Zurich on a cool wet morning, the summer should have been renamed early spring. The temperature rarely climb over 22*, the showers are frequent and the sky mostly cloudy with occasional fog.
    The day after my arrival, I went to Lausanne by train to pick up my BMW from my nephew's garage. After installing the battery and removing the cob webs from the engine, the bike started first go! Music to my ears!
