    We are now at Prague and are busy seeing and doing things. Then too tired at night to blog.
    Will catch up soon. We have a very good guide here and on way to our farewell dinner. Free time tomorrow.
    So we left Budapest at 8.00 am on Tuesday and it was a long trip to Prague. We arrived

    ... running up the side, to the top. (Or we could have walked....). This funicular began its operations in 1891 and is still running today, albeit with rather newer trains! There was quite a queue to get into the funicular station, so we joined the queue to get in. But then realised that queue was just for the actual funicular. And we didn't have a ticket.     ... war so there is a fair amount of history remaining. We buy tickets to the 700 year old Old-New Synagogue, built by Christians when jews were not allowed to build! It's a small, 'bomb shelter' like building with wooden chairs all around. The Jewish Torah is concealed behind a curtain.     ... went on for about 5 curtain calls. We remembered to pick up the umbrella ( note they do not let you keep coats etc with you - you must put them in cloakrooms) and got a taxi virtually as soon as we got outside. Back to the hotel. Sunday has to be a study day for Rachel so we had the day to ourselves.
