... any of them had summer items going out cheap in preparation for her return home. I just followed her and made the occasional (sometimes helpful) suggestion. ... shoved from pillar to post does not help the matter one little bit.....truly this was not fun and I was starting to think we would not be going to Prague at all.
We asked a man who seemed to be helping people with their queries and he made several phone calls for us and had his colleauges checking it out for us too and he described it as being a mystery. Oh really, no, we thought this was what happened every day!!

While our intrepid leader Flagg "Call me Vaclav" Taylor has been in Prague for a whole week already, preparing the red carpet in between interviews and archive research on the Czech dissidents of the 1970s, the rest of us slowly but more or less smoothly found our way there too. After joyful reunions at JFK, two long plane rides and a bus ride made extra giddy ...

We departed Munich on the coach for Prague with a 2 hour stop en route at Nurenberg. Another pretty little German town filled with bakeries, savory strudels, pretzels and of course sausages.
On arrival in Prague, we did the optional folklore excursion with unlimited beer and was a fun night. We had a few more drinks in the hotel when we returned.

... a really good hostel in Prague called Czech Inn, so we headed there first. We had wanted to get our own room, but the prices were really expensive, so we thought about sleeping in the dorm. Courtney at this point had not experienced sleeping in a dorm in a hostel before so she was very reluctant. We went and sat down to think about our decision.
