Afterwards we walked across the river through the Chain bridge and climbed the Castle Hill. We wandered around the grounds, gardens and ruins surrounding castle and St.Matthias Cathedral. We were happy to see our guide from yesterday doing a walking tour for a couple of tourists and said Hi.

Up at 7AM. Final clean up and in the taxi to go to the station. It was a bit confusing at first but we found the train and set off for Berlin.

When we got to our compartment 2 locals were in our reserved seats, but they wandered off without too much fuss and we settle down to a 31/2 hour trip through the country side. Everything went smoothly until we got to Dresden in Germany. Something went wrong there and ...

... through the big city park to Petrin Tower, a replica of the Eiffel Tower. Had we only known, we could have skipped Paris. Great views but this is true just about everywhere. Continued our walk to Prague Castle where we spent the afternoon. Sam is becoming a connoisseur of gothic cathedrals (and torture chambers). Hoofed it back to our place to root on the US against Germany over some great Czech brews. ...
