... was all the way up until the last moment... I was very tired with the heavy 15 kg backpack, drinking water and resting every 300m uphill. But the views of the sea and the mountains plus the lovely colourful houses was worth the "price". Bidart was a pleasant surprise... and I enjoyed it after a great shower, washing the drenched clothes and changing into clean ones. Now I am eating downstairs: croquettes de jambon and a morue a l'espagnole out of this world- ...

... museum..wonderful as usual Building itself fabulous.High Victorian Railway station with fabulous clocks on the edge of the Seine.Paintings etc. great even third time around. Walked across the Louvre forecourt to Metro and had a fine journey back to Ermont on the mew local trains. Richard and I start the day with a short run...when Richard calls it the Suffolk Mile as even though I thought it was 5km on the map, it was actually 7.5km, but we had a nice time, heading around the outside perimeter of the camp. We then get some bread and head back to our lodges for breakfast.
