Dark and darker as we expected and we knew it was becoming cold and colder but our first experience this year of minus 2.5C in the night was disturbing. We are warm and dry inside but were still tempted outside for our TRX workout at dawn followed by a run along the Le Loir with the sun rising in our eyes as we returned to the motorhome. Not ...

Next day we walk about 100 metres from our hotel to the entrance of the chateau Azay-le-Rideau. Early start this morning to try finish early to give the old body a chance to recover! Left this morning at 7am and arrived Mamers just after 2pm which is respectable I suppose. Stopped to take photos, fed a horse and had lunch along the way, but it was a good 83 miles with decent roads.

Did some washing today as well. Think ...

Sunday 16th

A bright sunny morning for packing up and saying goodbye to everyone, they had all been so friendly. We were on the road by 10.45am to drive about 50 miles to Le Mans. It was a very pleasant easy drive to the outskirts of the town and we eventually found the Aire by the river, having done 2 circuits of the one-way system across the bridges ‘cos we missed the turning to the Aire first time around. It was a bit ...
