Stayed two nights at this hotel (as part of an organised tour). The building is modern and seemed very new. I was part of a triple and the hotel accommodated us in a very large room with lots of huge windows overlooking the street.

The hotel was in a very central location and it was very easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, the train station and the old town.

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. You could open the windows. The bathroom was also spacious and fairly luxurious.

Breakfast was included and there was a large selection of food to choose from.

Free wifi was available in the rooms and lobby.

Nice modern hotel in an excellent location. Just a short walk across the old wooden covered bridge to the historic area of Lucerne. Only negative is the hotel did not have free WiFi in the guest rooms or the reception area.

This morning we caught the train from Munich to Zurich in Switzerland. I was impressed to have a dog sitting a couple of seats away from us. People over here seem to have a need to do most things with their dogs for some reason. The train trip was about 4 hours. I slept on and off. Our intention was to get off at Zurich central and catch a suburban …

Unbelievable weather - perfect blue skies for Mount Pilatus this morning. Ruth, our Tour Director, cannot believe how lucky we have been with the perfect weather. Took the cog rail (which is the steepest in the world) up to the top of Mount Pilatus. Spent a couple of hours at the top. We were the very 1st group of the day up the mountain and Ang …

Woke up to a glorious clear blue sky day looking directly at the mountains from our hotel room. Crisp mountain air. Enjoyed a few hours this morning walking around by ourselves in Innsbruck. Lovely clean town. Craig also found a barber to have a quick haircut, complete with cut throat blade and ear candles - interesting experience! Drove through …

We went back to the hostel for a break and to get ready for the Opera. We got dressed up, and even though most of the other students were wearing jeans, everyone else was dressed to the nines. Lisa and I walked through Old Town to the Opera House and punched the button at 7:00 for student tickets. We were the third group in line, but another ...

      Journey to Interlaken

... it had to wait for 5 or 10 minutes for another train to pass, saying to “please excuse them for the delay.” Being Swiss, the train was still only 1 minute late in the end. When Lisa and I arrived in Interlaken, we were disappointed to find out that the funicular we had been told to take up the mountain to the gondola was closed for the winter. Instead, we walked around the town of Interlaken, which was covered in snow ...
