The way in was incredibly impressive, surrounded by towering mountains on all sides for several kilometres as we weaves through a narrow passage with barely enough room for us to sail in. ... and we finally realized that we ought not go further. As it was, we regretted our folly in climbing as far as we had. It took much time and stress to get back down to the "road". It is with sadness that I reflect that this sort of experience has become more and more common. I start off feeling invincible and energized, but, as time lengthens, I begin to consider the danger and this destroys that spontaneous joy of exploration: inevitability.
