    ... don’t think I took the last couple of km in much.

    I got to Elafonisi about 4 so only had an hour to enjoy the beach there (stunning) before a bus back to Chania at 5. I thought about staying the night but because of my ankle decided against it. I wanted a bed and ice. Beautiful bus ride back. Next time though will hire a car, go straight to Elafonisi and spend the day enjoying it, and stop in the small mountain ...

    We awoke late this morning still a little tired after our late arrival last night. I was just able to sync yesterday's post. Our hotel is an old Venetian building that has been beautifully renovated. We had the best yogurt I've ever had along with a huge variety of other items for breakfast in the charming courtyard.     ... Great walk. Beautiful scenery. A formed path most of the way and all downhill so easy. Came out the bottom about 3pm (I was a slow walker as some people did it in 4-5 hours) at a town called Agia Roumeli. A swim at the beach (deserved), and then a boat ride to the next town on the coast that had a road to it (Sougia) Then it was the bus back to Chania arriving at 9pm. Pretty full day. Tired but ...
