Day 1: I get moving early and go across to the little cafe in the square for the BnB provided breakfast of tea or coffee and a croissant. They have free wifi which works. Yes! The BnB wifi is useless! After breakfast I head off to the boat pier and get a day ticket for the Middle lakes area. 15 euro and can be used to get to Villa Carlotta, Bellagio, Menaggio and back to Varenna. It's beautiful on the ...

... is on Lago Di Como (lake Como). It's across the lake from Bellagio (of George Clooney fame). Took an hour to get there and Greta, my air BnB host was waiting for me. We drove to the BnB. Oh no! It's up 2 flights of stairs. No lift! Greta and I struggled up with my suitcase. I don't know what will happen in Paris. I think it's 8 floors up and no lift. ****! Anyway, got organised with info etc. The Internet is a bit hit and miss. Then went out to ...

We missed the last bus for our trip back to Bellagio but the waiters organised for the owner to take us back to Bellagio himself. Great food, great service and a nice chat with the owner on the way home was the perfect way to end another great stay in beautiful Bellagio.

Daylight savings began today and Sue happened to put her clock forward 2 hours and had everything packed by 6am before realising that it was very quiet outside.
We left Innsbruck and made our way towards Bellagio with the GPS sending us via St Moritz. Of course Lou was a bit worried about whether the road would be open all the way and how Sophie would cope. This was the quickest way and cut out about 2 hours so we took the gamble.

We're on our way to Italy for the next month and stopped for the night in Bellinzona in the Swiss Alps, we are only an half hours drive from Lake Lugano which we'll visit tomorrow. The first snow of the year fell last night, but I don't think anyone here gets to excited about it, as most of the hotels seem to be closed until the 4th December!
