    ... stayed away from her for a month to recover his nerves! Katie kindly cooked pasta and as Greg topped up our glasses the stories flowed. He recounted answering a mayday of another vessel in bay which was tangled in netting and drifting towards rocks. He and his son rowed out to her to lend a wet suit and knife to cut her free. Patna has had a few near misses, coming within a whisker of brushing rocks when the wind turned and she rotated round dangerously ...

    ... elegant hotels and patio gardens frothing with greenery, arbors and fluffy air plants in hanging baskets. I finished my sandwich and headed for Soller...my feet now stiff and leaden. Soller carnival was a splash of colour and I was delighted to spot the children from Port Soller dressed as gambas (prawns)! Reluctantly I walked again, picking my way out of town and heading to the port. I was rewarded by the most amazing view back to the mountains ...

    We have had a lovely time in Mallorca, Spain.

    All the pictures I have seen of this lovely island are chockfull of people! Where did they all go? I felt like we had the entire island to ourselves.

    During the night the ship changed course for Mallorca in order to carry out a medical evacuation of a passenger. No word just rumours of the condition of the passenger evacuated. A nice day but a bit blowy so deck quoits and shuffleboard comps were cancelled since they take place on the top deck of Adonia. Therefore we spent a relaxing day around the ship. Dress code for tonight's dinner is Black & White night. ...
