I went up in elevation again today, by joining a tour to Los Nevados National Park, a park located in the central area of the Colombian Andes. The largest volcano, Nevado del Ruiz, sits at 5300 meters, but we were only able to get to 4400 meters due to some recent activity of some of the other volcanoes.

We finished up in Bogota with a morning bicycle tour around the old city. The tour was between 10-12 and certainly not at a slow pace. I had considered not doing it because of my ankle but didn't want to miss out on anything.

... girls and fled into our new room. There was a big gap above the door which we McGyvered closed with duct-tape (most important travel item apart from passport) and plastic bags. Another advantage was that the owner could no longer peek into our room from the staircase.

We slept nicely enough in our new room (also without mirror) and apparently some new guests were now also staying in our previous tiny room.
