On the first floor of the building, the hostel centres around a common area for dining and lounging. All the bedrooms are off the main room and ours overlooked the street with small standing balcony. The beds were nice and comfy and every bed had a locker - all very organised. Martha, the owner, couldn't be more helpful , she made cups of tea for our arrival and answered a ton of questions for us.

... the girls forgot to grease the pan, so the brownies were very much stuck, but they managed to pick some of them out and snack on brownie crumbs.

... my heart started beating and I was close to having a panic attack. In sign language I told Jesus, our horse whisperer, "I want to get down!!!!!!!!" He waved at me as if to say its going to be ok, which obviously made me panic even more. He stopped us and the horses expecting them to stay put while he cut the logs but the horses obviously decided going back up hill was more fun so I shouted out to Jesus who didn't seem phased until I screamed his name with fear. ...

... girls and fled into our new room. There was a big gap above the door which we McGyvered closed with duct-tape (most important travel item apart from passport) and plastic bags. Another advantage was that the owner could no longer peek into our room from the staircase.

We slept nicely enough in our new room (also without mirror) and apparently some new guests were now also staying in our previous tiny room.
