        ... We eventually showered and got ourselves together enough to wander down to the harbour for some lunch by the water. Hamburg had turned on a beautiful, and surprisingly warm, day for us to enjoy. We stopped by a coffee shop and a local park on the way back to the hotel.         ... sure if it was Hamburg or not as there wasn’t anything written in English) looked prior to, during and after WWII. Quite an impact on the senses to see the devastation caused by the war, very sad. It is hard to imagine how anyone survived, let alone rebuilt the towns and cities.
