After a big sleep in today we visited Real Alcazar which is also huge and amazing! It's a Royal Palace (oldest in Europe still in use). The buildings and gardens are amazing. It was built with huge Christian and Muslim influence (the design and architecture particularly interested Michelle). The gardens especially were incredible. After a late …

Yesterday we said farewell to Portugal and crossed over to the bordering country of Spain. The first stop in Spain is Seville. Seville is another huge city with skyscrapers and numerous sites such as plazas, gardens, and even a bull ring. We went to the Seville cathedral and saw where Christopher Columbus is buries then went into the treasure room. Afterward we climbed to the top of the bell tower and looked over the city. The cathedral has a beautiful ...

... is - though on and off. Sometimes only a drizzle, so it's OK. We just take our light weather proofs jackets every where we go. We are getting used to these late start times, we seem to raise late in the morning, have late lunches, afternoon tea and even later dinners, very much the Spanish way. Although, we have to admit that a siesta/afternoon rest is a must if you want to last the distance. (We don't seem to last ...
