    ... husband. They all make themselves understood and Frances loves this family dearly as they do her. Maria says that Frances has had an exceptional day with us speaking English and we tell her that we did too. It was quite extraordinary really.

We had contacted Amedeo and Maria advising them of our plan but they told us that Maria was at the hospital with the grandmother of her son Roberto's girlfriend.     ... the strait that separates Italy from Sicily, the Strait of Messina and that was very picturesque. Lots to see on both sides through the binoculars. Had an Asian style buffet lunch, coffee and dessert downstairs, a nana nap and more swimming. The girls, Lance and Michelle went for a workout at the gym.     ... Italian politics and way of life, we walked the little town and looked in some shops. We drove back to the house and checked out "The Olive Garden" or olive groves on the Turano property. The youngest tree was planted in 1905 and the rest are between 300-400 years old!
