    ... Italian politics and way of life, we walked the little town and looked in some shops. We drove back to the house and checked out "The Olive Garden" or olive groves on the Turano property. The youngest tree was planted in 1905 and the rest are between 300-400 years old! At night we went to Cesare and Gina's house for an outdoor dinner (starting at 9:30 PM!), and once again, relaxed and enjoyed the fresh mountain air. I can definitely get used to ...

    ... and their six kids lived there. We also saw his school, church, and, of course, stopped for some amazing gelato! We held on for dear life as our little car ventured round the narrow roads, but it was worth it when we stumbled upon this little village very high in the hills and stopped to look around. My dad started talking to this local man and when he told him our last name, the man was able to rattle off so many of our family members' names. He knew both sets of my grandparents! ...

    ... is considered one of the 10 best in Italy and it was great.


    There was actually sand on the beach and an amazing dramatic backdrop with the cliffs and houses rising up behind us.
