After one or two hairy, scary wrong turns, we found the ferry in San Giovanni and made the 20 minute crossing to Messina in Sicily - very exciting to start the Sicily portion of our trip, if a little apprehensive, as I never know whether the places we book online will be habitable and remotely resemble their descriptions..... will report back soon.....
