... lo and behold, we were in the tiny village of Skalni Mlyn, full of hundreds of day trippers out to visit the nearby famous Punkva caves, and eat ice cream!! These caves are part of the Moravian Karst (limestone) system in the Central Czech Republic, a large heritage protected area. After exiting the cave we took the cable car to the top of the Abyss to the top viewing area, enjoyed lunch at the café, then walked down to a lower viewing area and finally back to the road train. After connecting with the train back to Brno we arrived home after ...

Day 110, a train ride back home

A travel blog entry by adventurenonni on Nov 02, 2013

... a little irritable and feel a bit sick. Sigh. This consisted of muffins, lollies, chips and bread. Luckily for us, me packed us some fruit too, that helped a little! We arrived home at about 9pm and remembered that the following day was Sunday , which equaled everything to be closed, which meant Paul and Nonni would starve again. So we did a little grocery shop at the supermarket across the street, which luckily is open until 10pm. Great to be home. We slept soundly that ...
