Peter and I were up at 7am to go for a swim before breakfast. It was lovely. There was no one else on the beach or in the water. Unlike yesterday when you couldn't move. The water was warm but refreshing and a great way to start the day. After our swim and breakfast we headed the car towards Pula, tonights destination. As we left the island we drove down to a bay to look back up at the bridge that is the only access to Krk. Its actually tow bridges with a small ...

Our rooms face straight onto the walkway between the buildings and ...

As Basil increased his speed on the highway and the fuel gauge started to fall we arrived at another ...

Around 10 am we hopped in our car to drive around the island. Our first stop would be Baska all the way in the other side.
First a little bit of info about Krk. Krk is the largest island of the Adriatic Sea
When you first arrive on the island (which is the only island connected to the main land with a bridge) the landscape looks more like you've arrived on the moon than on a mediteranian island. It's dry ...

Croatia - Rijeka

The journey from Pula was a lot more picturesque than Rijeka upon arrival as it is much more an industrial and port town than a tourist destination. Not much of an issue as it was merely a gateway to Pag Island for Hideout Festival. Unfortunately we had to wait until the morning of the boat to buy our ticket and none of us wanted the early rise to secure ourselves a ticket for the boat. We checked in at the hostel but disappointingly the ...
