    ... used this trip to Blankenberge as a recce to check out the trains to Bruges as we will be back here toward the end of May. The trains run every hour and it take about 20 minutes. The cost of a tickets is between €4-6 return.

    Another day on the road beckoned today although not a very long drive lay ahead. We packed up and got on the road with no worries and off on our way we went. I think Stevo may have been on the sauce last night as he had us driving along a motorway as we went past Utrecht and then told us to turn off, an instruction which of course we blindly followed.     ... like a tin can by the boot of an SS soldier, I was filled with sincerity and sorrow for him.     ... along the walking path surrounding the city. Four old-style windmills used for making flour are dotted along the path and are very impressive perched high upon man-made hills. We soon found that around every corner was a picture waiting to be taken as the scenery just kept getting more and more picturesque (even in the rain and cold).
