    ... Heaven, Purgatory…you get the idea) filled with an astounding variety of stalactites and stalagmites. It is in these caves you will find the largest stalagmite (that's one that grows from the ground up) in Europe at 22m tall. The 'Queen of Pillars' is quite rare in that no stalactite hangs above to meet her half way, and whilst it looks like she's about to kiss the top of the cavern, it will take her another 5000 years to reach it.

    Today is our 40th Wedding Anniversary. We started the day eating breakfast outside on a beautiful patio made of stone (everything is made of stone.) We met a really nice couple from Bristol.
