201 No. 761 ( Alameda ) Villa Gesell, Province of Buenos Aires, Central Argentina, Argentina, 1708
You may notice we have no photos for this entry. Well, that is because we didn't actually do much in Villa Gesell. In fact we think it would be fair to admit we were horrible travellers and spent a lot of time lying in bed watching Law and Order and just as much time on the internet (hence the amount of travelpods released in the last few days!) We blame the rain and the wind for stopping us going to the beach instead! DAILY FACTS - Stayed at: Hostería Casablanca, Avenida 1 y Paseo 103 Bis, V...
Villa Gesell, Argentina harrisonhines... riding from Alaska let us in. I set about packing the bike, which all in all took over an hour by the time I loaded everything on that we had carried from the UK. We left 10.30 for the 250 mile ride.

So we did successfully navigate our way out of BA, or at the least Sat Nav did. Only one hitch, in one of those tricky exits where you get the choice of 3 roads within 50 metres and have to pick the right one. I didn´t and ended up heading West instead of South ...
Villa Gesell, Central Argentina, Argentina stevekiwibelton... the initial outlay for the camping gear, we realised it would save us a lot of money compared to paying for hostels everywhere. That decided, we purchased our natty new green Montagne tent and headed out to a campsite on the outskirts of town. We paid for a week in the (very nice) campsite and set up our tent (fairly but not completely straightforward, lack of tent-building experience and all that). After popping back into town to purchase a few essentials, we headed ...
Villa Gesell, Argentina briandlorraine... to on its merits and only after seeing the all the top contenders then make an informed decision. What didn't help my assessment while visiting San Francisco was two solid days of rain we experienced, but we weren't going to let that deter us from exploring the city and having a great time. One of the top attractions in the SF area is what is called the 49 mile drive which is route that has been set out by the Downtown Association way back in1938 to guide visitor around ...
San Francisco, California, United States vine_hooligans... but we both agreed that it was probably out last foray into the world of intestine cuisine. In any case, we both really liked the town. It was beautiful and laid back and felt more like a traditional honeymoon. I also think it would be a really different experience in-season when all the beachside patios were full of holidayers. It would probably be excellent! Well, that's about it for Argentina for us...off to Uruguay.
Villa Gesell, Central Argentina, Argentina thelepkis... of San Francisco. We got to see a bit of the suburbs Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Mountain View and Sunnyvale. The suburbs are very flat, no high rise buildings. The streets are well kept with blossoming flowers. We couldn't believe how much we got to see in the last four days. J's brother planned our trip very well seeing all the highlights, we had a fantastic time. Thanks Boet. B left back to New York, one long lonely flight home. I miss you already B.

"It's easy!" he goes. No, no it's not.) 3. Babies with no necks and lots of attitude will always be a source of grand entertainment. 4. CCTV catches EVERYTHING. It is not a good idea to do things that you wouldn't want other people knowing about. Or watching. 5. English in Ireland is practically incomprehensible.
San Francisco, California, United States jhinch... our room due to dodgy shower!! We spent some time on the beach, which was lovely, weather hot and sunny - it´s late spring at the moment. We´re on our way down to Patagonia now stopping at a few places and beaches along the way - on our first overnight bus journey tonight!
San Francisco, California, United States thomasgoescal... on a cup hehe, but she said my name was pretty. It was a beautiful sunny afternoon. I was walking up and down the streets and without any problems I got into the Chinatown gate. You could tell it was a tourism place however very charming. I entered an electronic store and had to take a deep breath as the same digital camera that 6 weeks before I had paid 470 $ for, here cost over 100 $ less. At least I already had about 2500 pictures taken. I didn`t let a seller ...
