Brilliantly furnished, helpful staff and a great location. The breakfast included was balanced and delicious.
The interior and the exterior look like what you would get if an hacienda married a ship.

Christmas Day Dinner...

A travel blog entry by downer on Dec 25, 2014

... dance floor surrounded by strange shuffling dance moves..! After two hours of this the drinking and behaviour of 60-90 year old people, it finally beat us and we returned back to Herman but not after a splendid lunch and many giggles...! Still your forgive the absence of any photos as we certainly don't want and reminders of what we saw... Still ...

Stayed on this campsite before in March this year with Mark. It's a great campsite, clean and well laid out, convenient for the town, two supermarkets within 2 mins and the beach 500yards away. The campsite restaurant is a bargain with Sunday Roast €5, happy hour 4-6pm €3.20 for a large glass of wine, pint and a bowl of peanuts... And then there's the Quiz and Bingo nights..! Two Fat Ladies 88..! We have made our reservation for Christmas Lunch and are very ...

We caught a taxi to the airport and picked up our new car.

We drove to Peniscola. It took 2 hours.

After 2 hours we were at our house.

There are heaps of cats. They look stray.

There is a REALLY big castle over the edge of the beach.

Each day we went to the beach and did flips off a ledge onto sand.

went to that next day.

We walked around the walls. But we didn't go ...

... for our week stay and found that food is so cheap.

E.g a massive bag of mussels was only 1.80euro($2.70aus), seafood is so cheap, but most important a 700ml bottle of Malibu was only 8euro($12aus) and a 24 carton of Steinburg beer is only about $7.50 aus. Actually all local beers are only approx. 30c aus each can.

On Sunday we did a day trip to Valancia.
About an 1 1/2hr drive and when we get there, there is ...
