Brilliantly furnished, helpful staff and a great location. The breakfast included was balanced and delicious.
The interior and the exterior look like what you would get if an hacienda married a ship.

Although this is an undeveloped area it is still very popular at weekends with families coming out to have lunch on the beach. This is helped by a 10k sand road out along the beach which means people drive out with trailers full of chairs, tables, shelters plus food all for ...

It was a long walk into town and we were very surprised afterwards to see how far we had come! You don't tend to notice as much when you are chatting away. We all agreed a taxi back was the better option. We're looking forward to exploring Barcelona tomorrow.

Whilst it was interesting, it is not my type of art and there were only a couple or so that I could genuinely appreciate as meaningful and skilled. Each to his own ... As expected, back at the site, there began an influx of weekenders, mainly young families, so that might herald the end of the peaceful ambience over the next two ...

... of Valencia. Towards the conclusion of our journey the orange groves bordered the motorway which gives this area the name Costa Azahar, or Orange Blossom Coast. I spotted a truck laden with the bright orange fruit suggesting it is harvest time. Our destination was Camping Ribamar set in the Irta Natural Park just outside Alcossebre, a relatively quiet and undeveloped area of the Spanish coast. Now we have said that with so much of Europe available to us we would ...

... This place is a recommendation if you get to this area of the country.
Back to the Parador de Tortosa to enjoy a walk across the ancient wall and into the historic section of town. One of the highlights was the cathedral, a view of which is in the attached.
We still had lots of food in the "frig," and being full from lunch, we opted for an evening in the room. Beautiful place. ...
