... assessed we went to explore old town.

Old town was really pretty. Nice blue stone buildings all from the local quarry. A castle and a church in the heart of town. There were two similar rock structures which we still don't know quite what they were. These were round semi circles in the rock face. Estimating about 20m high... so large.

Once we explored the town we went to the larges topiary garden open to the public IN THE WORLD. ...

... a quick call....I was good to go. Just had to pack up again. Everything needed to go back to its place....and I had just enough room for stuff and leaving me room to put me helmet in the topbox if I wanted to wander. What I hadn't planned on was the lock I had to carry from the bike shop....serious....its huge...and Mike said I had to for insurance reasons...frig....it took up precious space and I was not going to use it so I had to make do....and I figured a way to ...

... we fueled up and let the rain pass. We strolled into town and found a yummy Thai place with a super friendly hostess and a nice patio. Laura stopped me from ordering too much and we had just the right amount of dinner. Yum.
-back to the hotel for some sleep and road noise.

... size packs of chocolate and peanuts
2 cases of wine (ranging from pretty decent bordeaux down to 8 euro box wine - aka later to be converted to mulled wine as otherwise undrinkable).

Camped for the night in the Vallee de la Meuse very near the Belgian border and joined in a local French guy's birthday party by accident, though at least got to enjoy plenty of Belgian beer which I would have missed out on otherwise.
