    ... a delicious bread with raisins and almonds. When we got back to the hotel, we all quickly went to our rooms. My roommates, Addie and Harleigh, and I were able to do some bonding as we talked about a number of topics- from our directors to our friends and activities back home. They're both asleep now, but we're all packed and ready for our five hour drive to Germany tomorrow morning. Hopefully our new hotel will have wifi so I can keep posting these ...

    campsite a bit disappointing compared with what we have been at on our travels so far. Not overly friendly, seems more focussed towards French clientele. The surrounds and scenery are beautiful, mountains as far as can be seen. Must be excellent for winter ski season too. Hot still. Summer has certainly hit! ...

    ... for over an hour and a half and saw no one. not a soul. We did learn that the supermarket opens at 8am the next morning. We also learned that General de Gaul visited the church in Erstein to attend midnight mass Christmas Eve 1944.

    ... does indeed settle the nerves. Our establishment of choice is situated right on one of e city canals, people re everywhere, dinner is generally taken around 8.30 pm to 10.00 pm. It does not get dark until 10.00 pm in these parts. Light around 5.30 am. Our special treat tonight is Alsace white wine, we had a Pinot Gris which was just sensational.
