    ... with livestock. We felt like Indiana Jones!! After our exploring of tunnels, we found an old shopping area with pretty buildings. We ate a couple bars of delicious Belgium chocolate and gyros for dinner. Going to bed early. Weather has been warm but not too bad.     ... day, weather forecast was shaky we tried to get back on the fastest track which is route 2. Otherwise we would have combined 3 and 5. Upon arrival on Kirchberg heavy rain started, our choice was good.

    On route 2 in Hostert signs show two alternative directions. The one with less altitude change is via Holstert village (not route nationale).

    ... strange testing facility. A few snaps were taken, but this was cut short when a security car showed up in the distance. Time to leave then ... Next was a trip to Weeze and Goch, where the Stafford clan lived during the late 70s and early 80s while my Dad (Antony) was serving in the Royal Air Force.     ... on Saturday morning as the University Open Day started at 9am. I was dropped off in Luxembourg City en route and don’t think I’ve ever actually been so cold in my life. Luckily the tourism office wasn’t open yet so I had a great excuse to sit inside Paul and have a coffee.     ... ran a rivulet of water barely a foot wide. I expected to see more, but realized that since I was where this actually dumped INTO the Alzette I wasn't going to get any bigger! The second surprise, though, was how stunningly beautiful the banks of this tiny stream are. Fall colors were in full bloom and the trees that lined the river were alive with red and orange hues.
