... read the menu as best she could in English and finally recommended the beef steak in cognac with potatoes...she actually kissed her fingers and held them to heaven like the Italians do! That was enough for us, we all ate that for dinner!

Don and Cindy are making really good Rick Steve's participants, and Andrea called them "virgins" tonight! Don could hardly believe it...he said "I have been called a lot of things but never that!"...everyone laughed!
Tomorrow is a long tour day...up and out by 8:00 and back to the hotel at 6:30. Time for bed!

We made it today to Trier Germany and tomorrow is a laundry day, walkabout town and meet our tour for the first time.

We saw that there was a kind of fair on today in the local town - Echternach-Luxembourg, so we thought we would go and check it out early. Filled with market stalls setting up with various homemade stuff, with all types if cheese, meats, cake etc, very tempting! Then we moved on in search of a waterfall that we had seen in the information centre, but while in search we came across some other amazing places. We took the tram to the U-bahn and the U-bahn to the Haupbahnhof, then hopped on the train to Kolbenz, where we needed to change to Luxembourg City. Unfortunately, the train was ridiculously full so we had to sit awkwardly in the area between train cars until people got off at the next stop. We tried to sneak into ...
