... and whipped cream for breakfast. What else can I say?
Truly, we had a wonderful time in Bruges. We were ready for our own bed at the end of the weekend, but it was a trip I really recommend, especially for a recharge. It's unimaginably beautiful, especially when you come across the vast canals with swans floating peacefully on top. Swans, canals, chocolate, beer, UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Get a chance, and go.

... to us might be helpful. On almost every excursion, we wear headsets which allow us to hear our guide/program manager without having to be near where she/he is standing/walking. They are great for allowing you to catch every word, and they make nice ear muffs too. Once on the canal boat, the driver/guide used our program manager's set to point out the various buildings and tell us some of the history of Bruges.

... one last attraction on our city card: the ice sculptured exhibit.

The ice sculptured exhibit was all the way back by the train station, but this time we decided to walk. We ended up walking down this road that was under construction, which in retrospect probably wasn't a good idea since it hadn't been plowed. But we made it back and headed into the ice sculpture exhibit, which was kept even colder than the weather outside. We saw an ice state of liberty, Marilyn Monroe, ...
