Or the anti American street art in Barcelona that serves as the only reminder the last 4 centuries happened in the narrow lane ways and colorful terraces.

I suppose the texture of a city is the thing I find fascinating.

But I am being unfair to beautiful Brugge. The longer I spend there the more entranced I become.

... ask ridiculous questions- one question I heard was 'was the Bell Tower made for the movie?')

Do: learn some local lingo- a nice 'dank je wel' (thank you) will go over well.

Don't: pee in the street- Belgium is one of the most expensive places to pee in Europe- a very hefty fine if you are caught....somewhere around 200 euros!

Do: try the flavored beers- they have some interesting ones! The chocolate beer is a bit of an acquired tasted....

In Antwerpen the following day we found a carpark conveniently and accidently right beside a market! I am still dreaming about that delicious wrap.. Imagine fried roti bread, lathered with ricotta cheese, then wrapped around a mix of grilled capcicum, marinated olives, articohoke and some other yummy unidentifiable ingredients!
