... road on Day 7, halfway up the climb. Someone had "modified" one of the Haute Route standard safety signs. Turned it around to the blank side and graffitied the Haute Route logo, plus the words "ONE LIFE, LIVE IT!" What a fitting end to an incredible experience.

Not far from Ainsa is the Ordesay Monte Perido National Park that stretches to the French border. It has a number of rivers that radiate from its peaks. ... our ride only 12 minutes late and soon all the carriage "survivors" started chatting to each other. Most conversations were obviously novices like myself trying to sound out if their preparations and plans were realistic. Topics were generally about how long one was going to take, the weight of the rucksacks and when they had booked their flights back.
