... we would be there in plenty of time; and because we had a reservation, we were worried about not having a place to stay.

It was a lovely sunny day and a very picturesque walk as we gained altitude overlooking the verdant valleys, fields and hills. As we walked you could hear cow bells ringing in the distance (As we discovered later, they are also on horses and sheep as well). It was an idyllic pastoral scene right out of the books. On the way back we had a little mishap with the train when it stopped at some random train station and we were forced to get off. We woke up to a yucky wet day with a howling wind. Minh-Yen was sleeping up top which only has canvas sides and made the howling wind really loud. I kept waking up from down below and I can only imagine how it would have woken her up! The whole van was rocking all night long and none of us woke up feeling particularly well rested. We got off to a slower start and packed up the van to change campsites. We eventually headed off and ...

... have offered one of the rooms to the German couple. I just hope they do find some accommodation somewhere!

There is a party going on and as the afternoon/evening progresses, the laughter get's louder, and at one stage we're serenaded with some very loud singing! It appears to be a family group, and we discover later that it's a 50th wedding anniversary. I'm just hoping they don't go too late into the evening, as my room is right above ...
