... we had a great coastal walk, in search of la Vierge sur le rocher. We stopped at a café for hot drinks and directions. In addition to the directions, the owners offered us crêpes to share-we got to try their caramel, sugar, nutella and chocolate crêpes. Sweet! :) We had dinner on the way back to the hotel. We're doing great, and creating new friendships with our travel companions, a group from St. Louis, Missouri, and one from Colorado. Good ...

... week thats ahead of me (tons of class).
On the way back we had a little mishap with the train when it stopped at some random train station and we were forced to get off. I don't know how the train system works so bad here at times, but we were lucky enough to catch another train to Bordeaux soon after and still make it on our next train. We also found a massive chocolate and nougart shop near us where Tom bought himself a big slab of white nougat and i resisted buying a slab of the delicious chocolate! The water was still quite chilly so I only stuck my feet in but Tom had a few very short swims. On our last afternoon we found a lovely bar by the beach and drank pina coladas as we watched the sun go down. We were a little tipsy ...

We woke up to a yucky wet day with a howling wind. Minh-Yen was sleeping up top which only has canvas sides and made the howling wind really loud. I kept waking up from down below and I can only imagine how it would have woken her up! The whole van was rocking all night long and none of us woke up feeling particularly well rested. We got off to a slower start and packed up the van to change campsites. We eventually headed off and ...

Our train this morning does not leave until 8:50 so it gave us time to enjoy our last breakfast in our hotel. We are sad to leave the Pousada de Compostela as we have enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is a converted Jesuit monastery and had many classic features. Even though Wanda had stayed in the Parador she was impressed with our hotel.

At the train station, who should we meet but Tom! He too was taking the same train as he was flying out of ...
