We spent the morning exploring Oostende by bicycle. The town
is extremely neat and clean and really quite a nice place to be. We essentially
made a circuit that included the beach front and parts of the city. The beach
is long, wide and sandy and actually reminded me a lot of our beach back home
in Mtunzini. There were quite a few guys fishing off the piers and we actually

... right, they claimed it. It was big, lots of carved hedges. I would recommend it to any person who likes carved plants.

Once we explored over 30 topiary trees we headed for some lunch. heading back to above the market. Found a nice gastropub and got some food. Maggie ordered the creaser salad and i got the mushroom soup with bread and Froi Gras. Unfortunately maggies ceaser salad came with langoustine. As she is allergic to shrimp we didn't ...

Left for belgium this morning. Just entered the french speaking country and I read about some caves in liege, belgium that I will try to find. And then onto brussels.. an intereting thing in europe is all the public bathrooms cost money to use... here are some pictures of the roads. Off I went....I could not believe how many memorials I bumped into....actually found where the first tank battle was....trivia time....why are they called tanks....?

because...when the British invented them it was in secrecy so they labeled all the crates Water Tanks.....Tanks stuck.
Without trying I bumped into Thiepval.....it is one big memorial....huge... for 70,000 ...I was going to check it out...but ...

... in time to see the GP3 race, followed by the GP2 cars. Crazy that the GP2s were so much louder than the now strangely quiet turbo F1s.

The Porsche cup cars then had their race, resembling a demolition derby with cars off left right and centre in front of us. Maybe the most exciting race of the day!

After Andy had downed a Belgian waffle and a hamburger, and I'd eaten some hot chips and a filter coffee (!), the F1s were on. We had high hopes ...
