... think maybe we've been a bit spoilt as it wasn't even busy it's just that the roads till now have been empty. As we left the next pretty town of Ezy-sur-Eure Peter noticed a bike path to our left going the same direction as us. Turns out it was an old train line and it was great cycling, we only saw another 6 cyclists, perfect even for Louise & Diane! The Lancaster was on a bombing raid of the Trappes railway yards, just before D-Day. It crashed at Chandelles. We're not sure why there was seven crew instead of the usual six. ...

We decided to take our time to get to Paris and despite our previous experience with not booking accommodation, we again set off with a list of a few places but nowhere really in mind. Eventually, we put one of the possible places into the GPS, but Yvette, the voice of our GPS system, had us driving through forests on dirt tracks. But then what can you do, we had put our faith in her for the last three weeks and had to continue our trust. It paid off as we ...
