    ... the gate. The ceremony started with the Last Post, then we played a few hymns while wreaths were laid, followed by the national anthems of Australia and Belgium.

    We then marched from the Gate down to the market square in the centre of Ypres where we played a concert for half an hour. We finished the concert with Gangnam Style, and our new African friends danced for us!

    As tired as we were last night, we both just slept OK. Still adjusting to the time change. We kept rolling over and finally got up and out around 10:30. Today's plan was to do some museums. However, it is always most important to feed Carol so we stopped for some (what else) Belgian waffles.     After dinner outside, we went to the festival gardens and watched a great Swing band with double bass, slide (Hawaiian) guitar and lead guitar. The girl singer was excellent like the rest of the band, no weak link. John went off to collect jumper and cardigan and when he arrived back a couple of guys started doing street theatre badly, Diablo and commentary, very strange.
