We then marched from the Gate down to the market square in the centre of Ypres where we played a concert for half an hour. We finished the concert with Gangnam Style, and our new African friends danced for us!

... They had this little fire in a fire pit out in the garden, some skewers, and a bucket full of rectangle marshmallows (they were also half pink and half white) and cookies that resemble graham crackers. They had planned on this "american snack" just for me. So sweet. :)

After dinner outside, we went to the festival gardens and watched a great Swing band with double bass, slide (Hawaiian) guitar and lead guitar. The girl singer was excellent like the rest of the band, no weak link. John went off to collect jumper and cardigan and when he arrived back a couple of guys started doing street theatre badly, Diablo and commentary, very strange. ... br> I used my time effectively booking ahead through Luxembourg and even beginning to make plans for France - crazy I know! But after the last few days that nearly killed me having nothing booked planned or reserved even..it was a good feeling to have at least a bed to go to!!
