We stayed here because I knew they did a shuttle to Lago de Apoyo to El Paradiso and I had read some pretty decent reviews about the place. Its centrally located, the staff are extremely helpful and speak excellent English, its clean and has a pool which is amazing! So the rooms are a little on the poky side but for one night it was totally fine for us. The price doesnt include breakfast but they do have free tea/coffee and sweet bread in the mornings. They do sell breakfast and its pretty nice though I'm sure you can get it cheaper in town. Its only a couple of blocks from the central park and the main Cathedral. Would stay here again.

The facilities are great and the rooms are a nice size. The pool was fantastic, a brilliant touch. However our room was absolutely boiling, we had to pay for AC to enable us to sleep in there, even so it was still nearly 30 degrees. The WIFI reception was poor and at 11 pm you had to be silent in the common areas which felt very heavy handed.

Day 0 - Transit
Ended up in Managua around dark and when I tried for a cab at the standard fair of $5 didnt have any luck. Was heading out to the main road to try my luck when I was offered a cab at the reduced rate. Was sharing it with a couple of other people though and since we headed into town a different way I was wondering where I was …

Even though we were exhausted, dinner and a quiet beer with the guides turned into a massive night which involved lots of ron's and dancing until 3am. Still not sure how I managed that one. I even met a local Leonese who was listening to The Temper Trap in his car - those boys are stretching their fan base far and wide. After the …

We've spent the last two nights in Granada. We decided to fly back to Managua from the Corn Islands. Once in the airport of Managua, we high tailed it down to Granada. We took a series of cabs, due to a sketchy cab driver trying to rip us off mid trip. We finally reached Granada and it's beautiful. We met Ian and Ester, Jon and Dave and …
