Via G. Marconi, 358 Positano, Amalfi Coast, Campania, Italy, 84017, 089-875857

I slept sooo well... got up at 9am. I'm off to Positano via Napoli, Sorrento today. It's cold and it's still raining. So, I waited 'til the rain simmered down a bit and just looked out the window in the internet lounge. There is something beautiful and serene about the way it rains in Italy, how it trickles down in these old buildings, I thought. It doesn't pour like Florida rain nor does it make a loud puttering sound. I felt very at peace with myself. And then, I was approached by Jesus Chr...
Positano, Italy jessaminejoyI love love loved Positano!! It was a really small town (it only had one road that weaved up the hill throughout the whole city) and everyone there was really welcoming and we felt very safe there. Positano is right of the Amalfi coast, so we took a ferry along the coast to get there--gorgeous views!! In the movie Under the Tuscan Sun, Positano is where Marcello lived and the movie doesn't even do justice to how beautiful it was there. There wasn't really any sites to see or anythings so we j...
Positano, Italy kelseylynnPositano was exactly what I dreamed paradise to be :)
Positano, Italy mackieineuropeEnduring the crazy Italian driving, traffic jams, arguments and rather bad audor has all been made up for with the sights l have beheld the last two beautiful days! Arriving in Positano after a long and very windy but scenic drive from Naples, passing through Sorrento and arriving at my amazing Hostel Brikette l immediately made my way down the 800 stairs to the beautiful Spiaggio del Fornillo- Positanos beautiful beach around the cove from the busy main town and beach. I spent the afternoon ...
Positano, Italy mimmy21 From the train station in Salerno, I hopped on a bus to Amalfi then transfered to Positano. The Amalfi coast is the single most beautiful coastline i've ever seen. There may be other beautiful beaches, but this is the most amazing stretch of coastline hands down. Literally, sickeningly beuatiful - the bus ride is treacherous and motion sickness is a sure thing for even the well-constituted, but worth every drop of vomit.

... TravelPod" is a complete pain in the a@$ to use. For our 2010 "Radical Sabbatical" trip to Asia, I'm switching to another web service.
But, I've promised myself that I'll update this blog before we leave Naples...
Ola Kala: simply, OK (in Greek). No time for lots of flap.....we're on the go. The Vatican Museums await us (and we can hardly wait to do more walking!). Enjoy the pictures and we'll fill you in on the adventure next time I make the time to sit and gab.
We're still having a grand time!!!!!

... Palme only a short walk from Nettuno. The service at Saraceno is excellent and the food fresh. Try the cherry tomato pizza. The higher up the hill you go restaurants will often be cheaper than those on the waterfront and the quality is often better. The rest of the evening was spent sitting on our balcony watching the luxury yachts pull in for the night. Sunset in May is about 9:30pm and at that time the accordian player at one of the nearby restaurants starts to crank up "It's Now ...
