This place was fantastic. Read good reviews in LP and TA and it filled them all. The outdoor areas and garden were fantastic for relaxing, even though we had loads of rain. This was the main reason we stayed 4 nights instead of 1. Breakfast was good. Private room was nice (no a/c, but didn't need with the cooler, rainy weather). 2 kitchens (1 outdoors - we mainly used this) with good facilities. 2 fridges to store your own food and beers. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Stay here!

The journey from Tulum inland to Valladolid took less than the scheduled two hours and if anything, has been typical of my experience with the Mexican bus network, ADO, so far. Between the towns, there seems to be little but straight roads bisecting densely forested jungle and reminds me a little of the highways in the USA where you can drive for …

We arrived in Valladolid planning to stay for 2nights/1 day, and ended up staying for another day it had such a lovely vibe about it. It's a relatively small colonial town, with lots to do in the locality. We also loved our hostel - which had bright colours everywhere, amazing breakfast (inc eggs!) Included, a lovely garden, hammocks and …

... suddenly the beauty of the place became apparent to me. Cool, aquamarine water sat still at the bottom of the sinkhole, illunminated from the top of this hollow cylinder. Hanging vines gave the impression of heavenly rays leaking in from the roof. I watched Harley backflip off the steps up and to the right of the pool before jumping in feet first from five meters or so up. Health and safety is clearly not as big a concern here in México but they had at least laid out some ...
