... walked the 200m home. We walked on Friday, to Corvara, and ate....lots! Pork knuckle and veal for lunch, followed by strudel (of course!!). Car still in main street - completely covered in snow!

We had a wonderful time in Venice today including Mass in the "catacombs" of St Mark's, a fun, long stroll to the Rialto Bridge, lunch in a charming cubby upstairs in a bakery and a gondola ride. Pictures are from Padua. Hope they will ...

Today is our last full day in Venice.  We're scheduled to visit both the islands of Murano, famous for its glass blowing, and then to Burano where the they have colorfully painted houses and the seafood is fabled to be as fresh as it can get.  They have tours leaving from Venice but not for us.  We're using our all day water taxi pass to get there for free. However, before we can leave we have one stop we must make.  It ...

Peggy and the Barber

On good authority we visited the Peggy Guggenheim Collection which is on display in her own residence facing the grand canal. It appears that Peg had lived here for 30 years and the collection (now a foundation) displayed in her residence is what Peg had owned and was her personal art pieces. Most of the pieces are hung where ...
