A Night on the Square
We flew into Madrid on SpanAir. It was another little adventure getting from the airport to our hostal but the Madrid subway system runs from the airport to within a few blocks of where we are staying. The adventure part is dragging your luggage through the subway because we had to take three seperate lines.

Carrera Marca (11/11/12)
On Sunday 11th November, along with my friends Kristen Spillane & Teresa Tejado, we ran in the annual 'Carrera Marca' - a fun run with a route of 10km starting at the Real Madrid stadium in the north of the city, Estadio Santiago Bernabéu, and finishing in the south at Athletico Madrid's Estadio Vicente Calderón.

... rather chaotic. Long queue and no one quite sure what’s going on, woman sitting behind desk apparently doing her own thing but not saying much to waiting passengers.
It will be another 4 or 5 hours before we arrive home and we will have been travelling for nearly 24 hours since we left the apartment in Barra.
This has been an epic journey for us, it is not the holiday we planned but has far exceeded any expectations we could have set for ourselves.

... noise is driving me mad and I loved the singlets and knickers. I love a new pair of knickers. You girls are the best!
It’s now nearly the end of January and we will be starting our final adventure. So far, we are planning on going to Portugal, Rome, and Sicily. Our flight back is on the 3rd of April and we arrive home on the 5th of April so just in time for Easter, so you can start the countdown!
