Day 63: Sighs Does Matter

A travel blog entry by gregros on Sep 28, 2015

... jackets before going on an orientation walk. Apparently at the weekend, Colonia is so busy you can hardly move for tourists. Today it was dead. We walked along the river front and climbed up the light house where we could see Buenos Aires on the other side of the Rio de la Plata. We went out to lunch in a very nice bar/ restaurant around the corner which was lovely and she very kindly treated me to lunch. We weren't there for long as she then had a Dr appointment but it was good to go and meet her as I know Mum really wanted me to go :-) I then headed back to the hostel to chill in the garden a little bit. The plan was ...

... I loved it, and it wasn't at all how my initial preconceptions were that Uraguay would somehow be more backward than Argentina. It was actually way more modern, which if I had known anything about South American economies I would have known, as Uraguay is very stable with a much stronger economy than Argentina.

Apart from wandering around this beautiful town, watching the sunset with some locals, and having ...
