After a nice walk around the city with 4 people I met on the boat (2 girls from Montevideo and a very funny couple from BA) we went for lunch in a great restaurant that I found by coincidence and that was full of local workers… I suppose this was a good sign. We headed up there Friday morning and a crazy lady at the front who was a member of the cemetery preservation society sold me a map, which I partly bought it to help us escape after 20 minutes of being talked at. ... out the cab and try to explain that I need to get my ferry and I'm gonna get a other cab, they soon sort it out and I get to the ferry terminal just in time. The ferry is Colonia Express, the terminal is in a dodgy area of town but the terminal itself is ok. Relaxing in Colonia

... Two of the seven were closed, but we're not huge museum people anyway, so I'm not sure we missed much. A couple of the buildings were really neat and they had an impressive local bug collection. Next we rented a golf cart and drove out to Real San Carlos to see the remains of the bull stadium and jaialai court, but the real draw was the breezy cruise along the coast at 8 mph.
