At sea on way to Puerto Montt The night sailing wasn't too bad,but woke up to a 'reasonable swell', could see lots of 'white horses' and it was very cloudy, but at least we are heading towards the North and the promise of some sun, although our trip to Puerto Montt could be mixed, as it is the Chilean equivalent of our Lake District, watch this spot!!!!! We then headed to a fish and vegetable market which conveniently also had lots of things for tourists to buy - alpaca products, chocolates, little mementos, etc.. This WAS adventure, and one we so desperately craved. There were no frills, no English speaking camera wielding tourists, and we constantly questioned being lost. It was perfect.

... shined party lights on a disco ball, so it really set the mood... Dancing afterward in the group was fun. Ruth got a little tipsy and ended up climbing the flag pole with bare feet in the rain, then doing the worm shortly thereafter. What a character. Apparently her sister Helen dared her and she never backs down from a dare. By the last day, we were fully ready to get off that ferry and have more room to walk around. I felt like we did a great job carb loading before the big W ...
