... According to Ange, it looked just like the picture on the Ice Magic bottles. More crowds resulted in turning around at the first mirador. Queueing up for an hour to get on a cable car did not appeal and we set off to drive round the full extent of the lake. The views of Volcan Osorno and its sister peaks made it a great drive. Given this was our last day in the van before relying on pedal power, we were determined to go large on the food front. We got ...

... We had about a 30 min stop here to see the waterfalls. We were both taken with the area and it looked very much like the Lake District, with its vast lake, mountains, volcanoes (apart from the volcanoes, not many near Ambleside!!!!)and the forestation. Also there were a number of well known flowers, which originated from Chile- Lupins, fuchsias, dog daises too name but a few. Next we made the, perilous journey up the volcano Orsno, it had at least 100 hairbends or ...

I would have loved to know/see more of the sheep and other animals. If I had asked maybe she would be able to take us, not ...

... cross both ways. I filed for:

SCCI NAS VA570 PALIX A570 GAL W18 CRV W50 ESQ L775 MON SCTE at FL100/Fl120

If the weather is good along the mountains you can use T658 between GAL and ESQ - it's about 70 miles shorter.

There were the typical low broken clouds over SCTE so after contacting SCTE radar he gave me direct to LANKE which is the initial fix for the RNAV approach to runway 15. After landing I ...

Today was rainy and cold but the area is beautiful. We started the morning with a fascinating "testimonial" by Pedro and Pablo, two Mapuches who are the indigenous people of Southern Chile and Argentina. Mapuche means "people of the earth". Mapu is earth and che is people. Che is used in many names of native people - Apache, Commanche, etc. The Spanish never invaded this area since there ...
