... was just as sweaty as me! Was good fun as ended with group moves again. Had a shower and chatted to some folks in hostel sussing out evening plan. Chatted to carol and some Irish guys then English guys. We eventually went for dinner around 10. We had mojitos which were pretty tiny! I had fish fish for a change as it sounded light and was cheap seeing as I'd only had lasagne a few hours earlier. It was red lot nice and glad I had ...

Yesterday was another really interesting day. I started the day off by heading to my 10:30am salsa lesson and the had lunch with Jan. I then took a bus into te commercial center and walked around checking out the ridiculous mannequins and searching for a place to buy guitar strings. No one seemed to know so I walked around for almost two hours before I finally was out in the right direction and found 5 shops right next ...

It really was an amazing week in Rio and another highlight to add to the list which at this stage is longer than I am.
The time had come for us to go our separate ways, Baz back to Oz, Emmet to Canada, Smurf and Tom to Bolivia and Peru but I'll see there ugly mugs again in a few weeks. I flew to Cali last Thursday. Colombia marks my last country before I return to Europe and ...

... You can't buy cocktails, only beers and bottles. Most people drank aguardiente, a liquor that tastes of anise, and some rum. A live DJ spun mostly Colombian hits, with which everyone sang along. When he switched to electronic music, many Colombians were put off, unsure of how to dance. At one point the DJs put on angry birds heads, and at another yet played a clip from some horror film where a girl sawed off her own arm... Realllllly weirrrrd. Our group shared ...
