... long day (or maybe because of it?) after arriving at the hostel we got changed as quickly as possible, grabbed a quick bite to eat and headed out to a Salsa club our hostel had recommended. No one seemed to know so I walked around for almost two hours before I finally was out in the right direction and found 5 shops right next ...

... as it is very traditional and hardly any tourists to be seen. The fruit, meat, fabrics and other goods were so colourful as was the traditional dress and surrounding mountains. Seriously hilly journey to and from the market was literally making people on the bus vomit!

We stayed three nights in the nice clean and helpful Trail hostel and checked out some of the local shopping streets - some genuine branded stuff rather than all fake tat - and soaked up ...

... Colombia, in which the indigenous population were very skilled in metalwork and works of gold, I also got to experience cholado which is a mix of fruit fruit, ice, raspberry sauce, and a milky cream topping, a treat from Ana.

On my final night in Cali, a few of us from the hostel, and some from that evenings class and Viviana headed to a Salsa bar called Tin Tin Deo, a great place, if a little crowded and intimidating when some people are very very good. ...
