Six 'P's down, 15 to go

Hey, I'm alive! We did get going at about 1.15am, I fell asleep and when I woke up we were near Palma. With about 10 minutes to go before we dock, I haven't thrown up once - fingers crossed. It's an overcast day in Palma with the sun making a valiant effort to break through. In fact, by the time I had bought my ticket back to Barcelona (a 'futbol group special' - return only, no one ways available), it was positively hot out. Especially so after I had lugged my backpack for the 3.5km into tow...

Mass Beautiful

Hello Everybody Yesterday was pretty much a right off, I didn´t get up till 4pm since when I first woke up earlier i had a headache from the night before which didn´t go away for most of the night. After that it was just a quiet night of internet and movies. I woke up this morning determined to accomplish something so I grabbed Ella´s camera and went to the old town and cathedral area. I took lots of photos of the Igor Mitoraj outdoor exibit and the ¨heart art display¨. I then walked thru the...

The start of Sharkita's big adventure!!

And at long last we are on our way ... can't quite believe we are actually starting this journey after all the work, planning, talking .... And we know we've been to San Telmo many times before but this time it is different!! And so good to have Simon's old friends Max & Linsey onboard - after all they were really the people responsible for him ending up in Port d'Andratx to begin with.

Dancing in Palma

Palma is a beautiful city and has a nice attitude about it. You get the feeling that there is mystery, danger or something just lurking around the next corner, but when you round the corner, what you find is yet another party and another group of residents who seem to have truly mastered the secrets of a good life.

We arrived in Palma close of midnight on Wednesday. This city is also known for its wild nightlife and tonight was our only opportunity to ...

Another idylic Hollywood set

We arrived in Cala de Calobra around 5:30. We anchored in the small bay and took a tender to shore. The little village has a small pier along one side of a steep hill and the village is crowded on the hillside raising between two much larger and steeper hills. The whole thing looks like some Hollywood set because of its idyllic setting on the small bay. There are several bars and restaurants where we got drinks and ate an early dinner.

The #2 rated best bare beach in the world.

... cute to see. She was flirting back and he was laying on all the charm. I was cute to watch and what made it even cuter was they were nude the entire time. I think they might have gone up to the dunes to get some alone time since the disappeared for awhile.

Around 3 PM walked up off the beach to a clearing where the heli was waiting for us. It didn’t take long until we arrived at Porto Cristo.

Mallorca

... hilarious. everyone on the train started laughing at us. he told us we werent going to see the caves today and that we'd have to wait until tommorrow. on taylors ticket he wrote "se han dormido. " "they fell asleep" and to let us go again tommorrow. but then at the next stop the locals yelled "get off here" but we missed it. long story short we were told by the locals to get off on a train station in the middle of nowhere and that a train would be there ...

Party, Palmen, Palma?

Potato Ride

... breakfast on the lido deck, we made our way off the boat into the island sun. Instead of taking the 4E shuttle bus, we walked to the nearby mall then jumped on a local bus for 1.10E. After arriving the the center, I rushed around getting myself prepared for the weekly conference call I had to dial in for. I was on a ****** payphone and so I could hear them fine but they didn't even know I was there. Talk about feeling invisible. Finally at one point after much ...

my first holiday =)

i visit spain so often but I had my first trip there at the tender age of about 8 months! haha!

needless to say I can't remember that particular trip but the subsequent ones really hit the spot with me!

I love Majorca because it has something for everybody. Mad nightlife, beautiful beaches and scenery, lovely people and not as "high rise" as main land Spain.
