... the 3 young Italian flatmates, met Rune, whom host lady has spoken so highly of, and constantly praising his good looks and great personality. They were pretty excited to meet him!

Then we head to a restaurant near the home for some dinner. We walk by this place, Bodega Olayita, often because we live so close, and it was often busy so we took a chance. What a mistake. They food was no bueno. Can't get a decent meal here in Spain...

... before except maybe for the bath. My next venture was a cocktail or two then a ride home. At night we found wandered past the main squares and people watched. There were these guys selling cold beers out of plastic bags to all of the tourist. Very funny �� I would have loved to spent some more time exploring Valencia but we could only get to our next stop by an overnight train. Next trip??? I'll post some more of my Valencia photos when I get home. ...

... The only thing left that I really needed to see was their art museum. Their art museum hold (I believe) the second most valuable pieces of art in Spain after El Prado in Madrid, so it was a definite must-see. Waking up early was very very difficult, but we made it through and I made it to the airport with more than enough time to spare. Sunday 24th February. Today as usual we went down the Flamenco bar for another enjoyable lunchtime.

Then in the early evening we walked into town for the Exhibicio Tambors I Bombos.

This is a yearly parade of local drum bands that attracts over 800 drummers and is part of the build up to Easter. It's quite something to see and hear with all the bands in their different coloured costumes playing in time together. The short ...

February 1st. Fi & James ( Seonaid's daughter and boyfriend) are arriving today for a short we are off to Valencia Airport to collect them.

They are staying in one of the campsite's chalets and as soon as they have settled in the both decide to have a swim in the pool, going by the expletives it was very cold !!
