... sick of working and had randomly decided to come to Valencia for a few days. It is always great to meet people who make travel decisions on a whim. Makes me feel like I’m not insane! We made pasta one night with chorizo, zucchini and tomatoes, a total of 5 euros spent for 3 meals for 2 people. I have been living on these 500g pasta packs and it is so good! ... 2 hour ride on Virginia's machine and ended up doing about 4 hours riding in total. Allowing for some refreshment breaks of course. It was actually a wee bit of a deliberate test to see how I withstand the increased heat (it was 32 C at 10-30 a.m.) and I think I passed with flying colours.teh secret of course is hydration and I am now carrying about 3 litres all the time. Sunday 24th February. Today as usual we went down the Flamenco bar for another enjoyable lunchtime.

Then in the early evening we walked into town for the Exhibicio Tambors I Bombos.

This is a yearly parade of local drum bands that attracts over 800 drummers and is part of the build up to Easter. It's quite something to see and hear with all the bands in their different coloured costumes playing in time together. The short ...

February 1st. Fi & James ( Seonaid's daughter and boyfriend) are arriving today for a short we are off to Valencia Airport to collect them.
