Lunch at the Guggenhiem, Dinner in S. Sebastian

... Pinxos restaurant she, Ev, and Jullie had loved 3 weeks earlier. It was truly amazing and we enjoyed talking with a lovely british couple who now run a B&B in Provence. Judy and the kids had a wet but fun time, as the weather had finally turned south.

Take a guess what we did...

I don't really need to tell you what we did do I? Take one part playground, one part beach, and one part sunset and you have a Kramer day in Biarritz.

... the walk much slower. We made it back to the Boulevard and stopped to eat again. Finished up the lunch items. Then at 9:15 we made our way over to Ain’s area. Got a little lost, but then made our way as we usually do. Found parking and met up with Ain. Got settled in his place and then went out for dinner. We opted for Lebanese food. It was okay. I didn’t like all of it, but I ...

... The beaches are gorgeous and well used. Lots of hardly clad people stretched out in the sun everywhere. But once they leave the beach, they leave fully clothed, so the city never had that seedy beach-side atmosphere.

Our accommodation was good value as well - very clean, and well situated for walking around the city.

Hola Donostia

... beach over the last few days, but for some reason it was still pretty different to the beaches back home. For one there´s trendy cafes and day spas along the beach which you don´t quite get at home and I guess the density of people during the peak times was pretty unfamiliar too. But they really love their beach culture here. It pretty much seems to dictate the pace of the town. The sunbathers also seem to outnumber the surfers by a pretty large margin which is also a change from home I think.

... dolls. I wanted to return the next day to see it all again but unfortunately we were scheduled to leave for Segovia. No, you don't detect an element of sarcasm in the last few sentences. We must have walked twenty kilometres in search of convents, churches, notable houses, etc, as recommended in our city guide. They were all closed. I'm told that Spain is very Catholic, though most people don't go to church. No wonder, they're always ...
