Day 3 (Monday 9th of February)
From Madrid to Sotogrande

After driving a significant distance yesterday, today we had a relatively short drive of abt 650km to Sotogrande in Southern Spain, from where we will take the ferry to Morocco on Tuesday.

We had breakfast with Dennis and Ton from team Rhino and then left Madrid together. We sticked together all day right till the finish at Hotel Las Camelias.

The streets are narrow and winding but Fifi and Brendan did a good job getting us through. ... along with the usual chapels and churches. As you enter the town, you are greeted by the Porte de la Ville - a magnificent tiled archway, with a gentleman strumming a guitar. ... Almalfra fell far short of its five star rating in our opinion.
We were not that impressed with the rally, although we enjoyed the Tapas Run and the quiz night. There was a very good bass guitarist one night and Christmas day entertainment was good with a 'Bee Gees' tribute band. But the Christmas meal was diabolical; we have never ever had such a bad meal, Kay was ill for two days afterwards and was positive the fish she ate must have been off. ...
