      ... of the Bridge of St Martin.

      We entered the Jewish Quarter. Any Sephardic Jew has roots in Spain. We visited the oldest synagogue, that of St Mary the White. It was always the same pattern: Spanish first, then English and then vamos [let's go]. There was no time to appreciate places at one's own pace but that was the compromise of these trips.

      ... station with five minutes to spare (the taxi ride was twenty euro). We should have just stayed overnight. But all in all, I am so proud of us for navigating several metros in a foreign country by ourselves, getting a taxi to take us where we need to be, and not messing up the bus tickets. I was upset that we missed the beginning of the game and had to leave early, but we can still say we were there. I can't wait to go back, maybe I will have enough money saved up to go to el Clasico someday.

      ... Monarchy & Christian Nobility. The old Mosques and Jewish synagogues are now museums. The cathedral has a very famous El Greco painting: The Burial of the Count of Orgaz.
