We arrived at Cabo de Gata around 2 pm which has beautiful beaches with clear water but full of sea urchins, on top of that we got hassled by aggressive flies and sandblasted as there was a special wind called the Poniente for a couple of days. We moved up the coast to a campsite at Los Escullos. There isn't anything at Los Escullos except the campsite, a restaurant and an old Fort. The campsite is about a kilometre from the beach so we headed there later in the afternoon for a spot of sunbathing.

Weather: Mucho Scorchio
We packed up and headed to San Jose. The campsite was easy to find and is lovely, shaded by eucalyptus trees. We had a walk around the small marina this afternoon and then went for our first sunbathe on the beach. I wore my new bikini for the first time.
