Jerez, the sherry capital of Andalucia and probably all of Spain, is a cute but dirty seaside town about an hour from the ferry across the straight to Africa. It is non descript but offered a decent stop to explore the old quarter and sample some local food. I finally found a leather jacket (I've been looking for one for several years now).
