    ... at the Palace you can sit on.

    We thought we could fit in the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum between 4pm and 7pm, but it was a bit of a stretch. We had to rush through quite a bit. It was a great Museum though, so much cool stuff and through time. A bit of a combination of the other two museums. From the very old to some more contemporary stuff (but not very contemporary... stopped a about 1970).

    ... chosen too much to do today, as they had a tour of the gardens, the castle and then the trip out to Toledo in one day. I looked at Anne and suggested quietly, we’d made the right decision not to do this kind of day tour in Spain as places here need to have a good amount of time to actually absorb not just the sights, but the sounds, the smells and the feel of these places.     ... hot day in Madrid which is roughly in the middle of Spain, this is the place to go (locally) to cool off - of course others go to exotic destinations like Valencia, Ibiza etc... But this place was literally packed with thousands and it took an hour of queuing in the hot sun to get in. It is the biggest aqua park in Europe, so you can imagine the scale.
