The little birds sing, the whoot whoots, whoot whoot, the cuckoo tells us he's there, we cross what looks like an old deserted airstrip but discover it's still used by gliders. Got there 2 1/2 hours before they would allow us in (freaking out of bed early people) but let us put our packs down there and head for the nearest bar. Says they have wifi but it's a load of crock. Never mind, we have limited data so use that for the basics. Then off to check in for 1pm and find all the others from last night there. The hostelaria motions us ...

... jumped up and rushed outside as something suddenly dawned. "What's the matter dearest?" "Nothing to worry about, just checking things, honestly, everything under control" he replied. The silly old duffer had run over and destroyed the electric extension cable reel and fused the whole supply!!!
